Shahbaz Taseer’s upcoming memoir will be a thrilling account of his time in captivity.


Shahbaz Taseer, the son of slain Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer, who was recovered in March after being held captive for over four years, said he was with Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) who tortured him badly during his captivity.

Shahbaz Taseer will recount the days of his life in captivity:

Ray of hopes, disappointments,

Floggings and torture,

Saving the captors’ kids from drone strike,

Shahbaz memoir about all the happenings will be launched before long.

Shahbaz Taseer in his interview claimed that his captors severely tortured him and made videos, photos of their brutal act.

Raees, Mahira Khan’s much awaited Bollywood flick will finally be releasing on January 25th 2017.


Raees, scheduled to release on January 26 next year, features Pakistani actress Mahira Khan who is making her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, “Raees” is set in 1980’s Gujarat. It tells the story of bootlegger Raees Khan (Shah Rukh), whose business is challenged and eventually thwarted by a police officer played by actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Basant will finally be celebrated in Lahore in February 2017!

Zaeem Qadri said the committee members held number of meetings after which they prepared their recommendations to revive the basant festival. “We have recommended to introduce new legislation to increase punishment and fines on aerial firing,” he said.

Zaeem Qadri said “The people are anxiously waiting for revival of Basant that is an event that marks the coming of spring, bring together people from all walks of life, cover the sky with colors and spread happiness among the people.”

“There was a time when all types and sizes of kites used to cover the skies of Lahore and the people would participate in kite flying to herald the basant mela that was not only an event, but a cultural festival of traditional food, dresses and music,” he said.
