LAHORE: The three-day Lahore Eat food festival began at Jilani Park on Friday.
More than 50 food stalls from various food restaurants and food companies were set up for visitors and families, that participated along with children to enjoy the varieties of food.
The food festival was previously organised in Karachi and had bagged a huge participation by food lovers. On the first day of Lahore Eat food carnival, families came in large numbers to try different food items of Lahore.
A visitor, Amir, who had come with his children, said that he had planned to visit the food festival ever since he had heard about it adding that it seemed like a ‘battle of chefs’.
Abdul Haye of Latitude PR told Daily Times that the Food Eat would continue until tomorrow (Sunday) and had received a humongous participation from Lahoris on the commencing day of the carnival. The food festival was organised by Chapra Khan Omari Events in collaboration with Latitude PR.
The foods items were available on discounted rates. The Waris Nihari food stall, while talking exclusively to Daily Times, informed how their usual nihari plate per person is for Rs 700 but for the festival, they were offering the same plate for Rs 300.
The children on the occasion found the festival quite entertaining as there was also a playground set up adjacent to the food festival. Fahad, a student of grade six, also while talking exclusively to Daily Times, said that he would not have found anything else more interesting than coming at the food festival.
