Have your skin been looking dull lately? Winters specially takes away the hydration from ones skin leaving it looking dull and pale. Although the many moisturizers, available in the market, are helpful to hydrate our skin and so are the gazillion highlighters! Who can forget the highlighters for that Jennifer Lopez glow where just one swipe of it can give you that perfect sheen! But who wouldn’t want a healthy, radiant and glowy skin sans makeup!

To achieve a flawless, youthful, supple and radiant skin here is a list of 5 fruits that you can eat your way to a beautiful face. Remember a beautiful face is a beautiful skin!

Orange: Oranges are rich in Vitamin C and a good source of dietary fibers. The collagen in Orange helps slow skin aging process and Vitamin C improves the texture of the skin making it smooth and radiant.



How to use: With a cotton ball apply the orange juice all over the face and wash it off after 15 minutes with cold water. You can rub the inside of the Orange peel on the skin or the peels can also be dried and crushed to use as a scrub.


Apple: Apple is the best way to keep those wrinkles at bay. It contains collegen and Vitamin C that keeps skin looking and feeling youthful and firm whereas the anti-oxidants prevent cell and tissue damage.


How to use: Eat one Apple a day to keep aging at bay! You can also apply Apple juice and wash it off after 20 minutes or rub the slices all over the face and neck in circular motions and wash off after 10 minutes.


Lemon: Lemon is a natural brightener and is rich in Vitamin C. The astringent properties of the lemon brighten and lighten skin, marks and scars.


How to use: Lemon juice is used all over the face but it can be a little harsh so make sure to either dilute it with water or honey, apple juice or cucumber juice and wash off in 10 minutes with cold water. Remember: Don’t expose your skin to direct sunlight after using lemon. Try and incorporate Lemons in your night time beauty routine.


Papaya: Papaya is not only rich in antioxidants but also contain an enzyme call Papain that cures skin impurities. It also makes the skin smooth and supple.


How to use: Use mashed Papaya all over the face and leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. The mashed Papaya can also be used with a little milk as a face mask.


Strawberry: It is loaded with anti-oxidants that provide that inner glow and radiance to the skin. The Malic Acid in Strawberries also makes it a whitening agent.


How to use: Now you cannot just drink strawberry shake but also use it on your face (fresh strawberries and milk only). Mash a few small or two large strawberries and mix in a teaspoon of milk to apply all over your face and wash it off after 15 minutes.

Now before I write the word ‘glow’ for the umpteenth time I’m going leave with a Face Mask Cocktail that I myself use often.

Mashed Apple: 2 tablespoon

Lemon Juice: 1 teaspoon

Honey: 1 teaspoon.

Rose Water: A few drops.

Mix them all to make an amazing smelling face mask. Apply and leave on your skin for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
